Moving a server from one environment to another is not simply a matter of copying files. Our migration team assesses your current environment, designs the target, and executes the transition in controlled stages. Your existing environment keeps running throughout, and production traffic moves only after the new environment has been tested and you've signed off.

Final synchronisation, then production traffic switches according to the agreed plan, with rollback available throughout.
After migration we review the environment, adjust resources and configuration, and support you for 14 days.
Before anything moves, we analyse the existing environment to understand what needs to be migrated and how. The assessment is free, and the report is yours whether or not you proceed.
Not every application should be migrated the same way. The assessment tells us which of these fits each workload.

For business-critical applications, taking production offline for hours isn't practical. Where the workload supports it, we build the destination first, replicate data while your current environment keeps serving traffic, test, then synchronise and switch — so production downtime is limited to the cutover window rather than the whole migration.
The actual downtime depends on the application architecture, database, data volume and migration method. We give you the expected window in writing after the assessment, and we plan cutover around your quietest traffic period rather than ours.
A server migration only succeeds when the application works correctly in the new environment. So the plan covers the whole stack around it.
The most common migration mistake is taking an existing physical or VPS specification and reproducing it in the cloud without checking what the workload actually uses. Cloud bills for what you provision, so an oversized copy costs you every month.
We also flag cost items that surprise people: data egress charges from your current provider during the transfer, and Windows Server or SQL Server licensing in the destination cloud.
Security shouldn't be bolted on after a migration completes. The target environment is designed with access control and network segmentation in place from day one.

Your current infrastructure doesn't have to be with eWebGuru — most of the environments we migrate aren't.
Migration doesn't end when DNS changes. The first two weeks in a new environment are when configuration gaps, permission issues and performance surprises appear. Every migration project includes 14 days of post-migration support after cutover, at no extra cost.
After those 14 days, you can run the environment yourself or hand day-to-day operations to us — Server Management for Linux and Windows server administration, or Managed AWS for the wider AWS environment. There's no obligation to take either.
Migration effort varies enormously, so every project is quoted after the free assessment — as a fixed price, not an open-ended hourly engagement.
Project fees exclude 18% GST. Cloud infrastructure is billed to your own account by the cloud provider — eWebGuru does not resell cloud infrastructure. Mailbox and email migration is quoted separately.
