Fully Managed Linux Dedicated Servers, Hosted in India

Bare-metal servers in Tier IV datacentres at Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune — running AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, Debian or CloudLinux, with full root access and no Windows licensing to pay for. Our team handles OS setup, patching, monitoring and hardware. You get the machine and the root password; we keep it running.

eWebGuru has been hosting Linux servers out of Indian datacentres since 2007, and every plan on this page is fully managed. That covers the initial build, RAID configuration, kernel and sysctl tuning, your web and database stack, security patching, proactive hardware monitoring and physical intervention at the rack — the part you cannot do from Noida or Nagpur at 2 a.m.

You keep full SSH root access throughout. Managed does not mean restricted — it means you are not the only person responsible when something breaks at 3 a.m. If you need .NET, MSSQL or Windows-native software instead, our Windows dedicated servers run the identical hardware.

Why a Linux Dedicated Server Costs Less Than the Same Windows Box

Hardware is only part of your monthly cost. On identical hardware, the operating system is a separate recurring line item.

Operating System Monthly Licence Cost with eWebGuru
AlmaLinux / Rocky Linux / CentOS StreamFree
UbuntuFree
DebianFree
Any other Linux distro you requestFree
Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025 (1 CPU)₹ 2,000
Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025 (2 CPU)₹ 4,000

On a dual-socket machine, choosing Linux saves you ₹4,000 every month — ₹48,000 a year — before you have run a single query. If your setup does not need cPanel, Webmin/Virtualmin, CentOS Web Panel or a panel-free build removes a commercial licence from the bill as well.

That is the practical case for Linux on bare metal in India: the same EPYC or Xeon silicon, the same rack, the same support team, at a lower recurring bill. If you need .NET, MSSQL or Windows-native software, our Windows dedicated servers run the identical hardware — the choice is purely about your application stack.

Linux Distributions We Deploy

We install and manage every distribution below at no additional cost. When a release approaches end of life, our team flags it and works out the upgrade or migration path with you.

AlmaLinux

The default choice for cPanel/WHM and DirectAdmin environments, and the natural landing point if you are moving off CentOS. Binary-compatible with RHEL, with a ten-year support lifecycle.

Version Support

AlmaLinux 10.2Supported
AlmaLinux 9.8Supported
AlmaLinux 8.10Supported

Rocky Linux

The other RHEL-compatible option we deploy. For most hosting workloads it comes down to which one your administrators already know — both carry the same long support lifecycle and the same control panel support.

CentOS Stream

Stream 10 and Stream 9 are supported. Stream 8 is end-of-life and we will not deploy it on a new build. If you are still running CentOS 7 or 8 anywhere, we will cross-grade you to AlmaLinux during migration at no charge.

Ubuntu

The right pick for Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, Python and most cloud-native stacks. We deploy LTS releases only unless you specifically ask otherwise — the interim releases move too fast for production hosting.

Debian

Minimal footprint, long release cycles, and the usual choice for hand-tuned LEMP builds and appliance-style deployments. Note that Debian 11 reaches LTS end-of-life on 31 August 2026 — plan accordingly.

CloudLinux

If you are running a shared-hosting or reseller business on this server, CloudLinux LVE gives you per-account CPU, memory, I/O and process limits, so one bad account cannot take down the node. Licensed separately.

FreeBSD

Not Linux, but we support it — and it still has a loyal following for firewall, storage and mail workloads. ZFS, jails and pf remain compelling reasons to pick BSD over a Linux distribution for those specific jobs.

Version Support

Fedora Server

Short support cycles make Fedora a development and CI/CD choice rather than a production one. We will deploy it if you ask — and we will also tell you why AlmaLinux is usually the better answer for anything customer-facing.

This Is Where Your Linux Server Actually Lives

Not a stock photo. This is one of our live racks in a Tier IV CtrlS facility — the same hardware, cabling and cooling that your bare-metal server sits in from the day it is provisioned.

Single-tenant hardware, in India, with our engineers physically able to reach it. When a disk fails at 2 a.m., someone walks to the rack.

  • Tier IV facilities at Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune, operated by CtrlS
  • Data resident in India — INR billing, GST invoicing, IST support hours
  • Hands at the rack — hardware troubleshooting and replacement handled by our team
  • Also available outside India — USA, Portugal and Ukraine under the same account

What Happens When Hardware Fails

On dedicated hardware, components eventually fail. What matters is how quickly a person reaches the machine, and what happens to your data in the meantime.

2 hours Typical replacement time
6 hours Maximum replacement time
Disk · RAM · Board Components covered
1

The failure is detected

A failed disk, bad memory or a dead board shows up either through our monitoring or through a ticket you raise. Either way it lands with the support team on shift.

2

Software or hardware?

Before anyone opens the rack, we confirm the fault is physical. Plenty of things that look like dying hardware turn out to be a full filesystem, a kernel panic or a runaway process, and those are fixed over SSH.

3

An engineer reaches the machine

Our datacentre team accesses the rack physically, identifies the failed component and pulls a replacement from spares held on site at the facility.

4

The part is replaced

Disk, RAM or motherboard is swapped and the server is brought back up and tested. Most replacements complete in around two hours; our outer limit is six.

5

The failed disk stays with your server

When a hard disk fails, we do not simply remove it. We reattach the faulty disk to your server as a secondary drive so you can attempt to pull data off it yourself — which matters if your last backup is not current.

6

You are updated

You get told what failed, what was replaced and whether anything on your side needs attention — a RAID array to rebuild, a service to restart, a backup schedule worth revisiting.

Step 5 is the one worth reading twice. A failed disk is usually not a dead disk — it is a disk that has thrown enough errors to be untrustworthy in production. Data is often still readable. Handing it back to you attached to the machine gives you a chance at recovery that you lose the moment it goes in the bin. It is not a substitute for backups, and we would rather you had current ones, but it has saved customers before.

Choosing a Control Panel for Your Linux Server

Because you have full root access, the panel choice is yours: a commercial panel, a free one, or none. Current licence costs are below.

Commercial Panels Monthly Price
cPanel/WHM — 5 Domains₹ 2,600
cPanel/WHM — 30 Domains₹ 3,400
cPanel/WHM — 50 Domains₹ 4,300
cPanel/WHM — 100 Domains₹ 5,500
Plesk — 10 Domains₹ 1,550
Plesk — 30 Domains₹ 2,000
Plesk — Unlimited Domains₹ 4,500
DirectAdmin₹ 2,000
Free Options Monthly Price
Webmin / VirtualminFree
CentOS Web PanelFree
No panel (pure SSH)Free

A practical recommendation

If you are hosting client sites and need per-account isolation, cPanel/WHM on AlmaLinux with CloudLinux is the combination we deploy most often.

If you are running a single application — a Laravel API, a Django app, a Node service — skip the panel entirely. A panel-free NGINX or LiteSpeed build gives you more RAM for the application and one less attack surface to patch. We provide fully managed support on servers with no control panel at all.

Linux Dedicated Server — Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get full root access on a managed Linux server?
Yes. Every Linux dedicated server includes full SSH root access. Fully managed means our team also has access to patch and monitor the machine — it does not restrict what you can do.
Which Linux distribution should I choose?
For cPanel or DirectAdmin hosting, AlmaLinux. For Docker, Kubernetes and modern application stacks, Ubuntu LTS. For a hand-tuned minimal LEMP build, Debian. If you are unsure, tell our pre-sales team what you are running and we will recommend one.
How long does provisioning take?
Typically under 6 hours, with a maximum of 24 hours depending on configuration and stock. Custom builds needing specific RAID cards or non-standard memory may take longer — we will tell you the timeline before you pay.
Can I install cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin?
Yes, all three, with licensing available at the monthly rates listed above. We will pre-install and configure your chosen panel as part of onboarding. You can also run Webmin/Virtualmin or CentOS Web Panel free of charge, or no panel at all.
Can I install my own custom Linux ISO?
Yes. Send us the ISO and we will mount and install it through IPMI. You also get IPMI/KVM access yourself for reboots, BIOS access and OS reloads.
What bandwidth is included?
Every plan includes a 1 Gbps uplink and 10 TB of monthly data transfer. Higher allowances are available — contact us with your expected volume.
What RAID levels are supported?
RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10, depending on chassis and disk count. 4-bay chassis suit RAID 1; 8-bay and 12-bay chassis support RAID 5 and RAID 10 configurations.
Can I upgrade RAM or add disks later?
Yes. RAM upgrades run from ₹3,000/mo for 8 GB up to ₹1,44,000/mo for 512 GB. Additional SSDs are ₹4,000/mo (960 GB), ₹8,000/mo (1.92 TB) and ₹12,000/mo (3.84 TB). Because these are physical changes, upgrades are scheduled with our team.
How many IP addresses are included?
One dedicated IPv4 address is included. Additional blocks are available — 5 IPs at ₹1,250/mo, 13 at ₹3,250/mo, 29 at ₹7,250/mo, and larger. IP allocation requires justified usage under RIR policy.
What is the minimum contract period?
30 days.
What happens if hardware fails?
A failed disk, RAM module or motherboard is replaced within six hours at the outside, and generally within about two. Where a hard disk fails, we reattach the faulty disk to your server as a secondary drive so you can attempt to recover data from it yourself — useful if your most recent backup is not current. See the full process above.
